Popular Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platinum has been arrested for publishing “indecent” photographs on social media. It was gathered that the 28-year-old singer was arrested after shirtless images of him in bed with a female companion circulated online. Tanzania’s Information Minister, Harrison Mwakyembe, who confirmed the arrest, said the Singer was arrested for “posting uncouth content and spreading indecency on social media.” Mwakyembe said, “I inform you that yesterday we were able to arrest the great musician Diamond Platnumz, he is being questioned by the police about the indecent photos he circulated. “Social media is not a garbage dump of sorts. Our country has a culture. “There are some stars who keep posting uncouth content on social media and I’m proud to say yesterday we arrested Diamond Platnumz.”

Music Legend, ‘Tuface ’ Idibia has called on the Nigeria Copyright Commission (NCC) to intervene in the ongoing Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSCON) crisis. Tuface in a petition addressed to the NCC, lamented that Efe Omorogbe and other COSON board members were “being harassed, and intimidated’ by the police. This is in regards to power tussle between Tony Okoroji and Efe Omorogbe, who are both laying claim to the leadership of the body. Tuface in the petition accused Okoroji of fighting for the control of COSON for “personal ends”. The petition, addressed to Alam Ezekude, director-general of NCC, was copied to the Ibrahim Idris, the inspector-general of police, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammadu Buhari. Ghanaian rapper, Wale Shatta; and his mistress, Michy, have been embroiled in physical abuse, which has since spilled over on to the social media. Shatta in his post alleged that Mitchy slapped him in front of her mother while holding a knife. He noted that anytime there was a problem, Mitchy always feigned an accident by cutting herself with a blade, broken bottles just to paint him black. Mitchy responded to Shatta’s claims, calling him is “a hypocrite” who will hurt her and come on social media to seek public sympathy. She hared a photo of a bump on her head, which she claimed the rapper inflicted on her.

Former Big Brother Africa housemate, Tayo Faniran has fired his critics over declaring his support for controversial BBNaija housemate Cee-c. In an intense exchange of words on Twitter, Tayo noted that people make Cee-C look like a devil, adding that she has a soft side . His statement irked some of his fans, who condemned him over supporting her. In the same vein, Cee-C has become the first and only housemate to trend worldwide in the ongoing edition of BBNaija.

Miracle, has won again, emerged winner of the BigBrotherNaija (Double Wahala) final wager challenge. The lucky BBNiaja housemate, had earlier emerged winner of the season’s Payporte arena games challenge with a prize of N1 million. He also won the Pepsi Challenge carting away the sum of 1 million naira. Miracle was again lucky to have won of N200,000 wager allowance after picking the box tagged number two. Wizkid’s fans were disappointed when he announced that he could not make it  for his Coachella performance. Coachella is the annual American music festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, located in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was co-founded by Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen in 1999. The singer was on the bill to perform on the same night as Beyonce but was incapable of travelling because his band couldn’t secure a visa early enough. ‘We are sorry to announce that Wizkid is unable to make it into the country to join us this weekend but will be performing next weekend’, Coachella tweeted from its authorized handle.
