How visa issues stalled Wizkid’s Coachella performance

Wizkid’s fans were disappointed when he announced that he could not make it for his Coachella performance.

Coachella is the annual American music festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, located in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was co-founded by Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen in 1999.

The singer was on the bill to perform on the same night as Beyonce but was incapable of travelling because his band couldn’t secure a visa early enough.

‘We are sorry to announce that Wizkid is unable to make it into the country to join us this weekend but will be performing next weekend’, Coachella tweeted from its authorized handle.

In the same vein, Wizkid expressed disappointment at not being there on the night as a result of his band’s inability to get a visa promptly.

Dr Omar Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission declared a state of emergency on Tuesday amid escalating violent extremism and terror, military coups d’etat, banditry, and political instability in the sub-region.
